I'm hoping to get a little more too so i can take advantage of the zero interest till 2014 when i use it to buy a new computer. I have $1,000 too and i'm only gonna need $200 more in make sure that i don't go over the limit or have a automatic transaction deline..... I'm sure they will be nice and say yes, but i'm gonna ask in 2 or 3 months once i have paid my current charges off.

you could just pay 500 up front and pay the rest on your card.

Discover said they have a 6 month policy!
6th statement until you can request a CLI. But for me, I was auto CLIed in $250 increments before the 6th months was up.
I requested a cli for my Discover Miles card 7 months after receiving it, and that was approved for a $3000 increase. And now it's 7 months after that, I just got a notice that they auto cli me for a $1200 increase.
In the same boat. Called and the CSR saif 6 months from the DAY you open the account, not after the 6th statement cuts. My 6th statement cut earlier this month but I have to wait until the 24th to request a CLI
It is 6 months, they are also very conservative about CLI's.
