Which do you guys think?
Is this an offer through the mail or on the Website? Websit would say your qualified if you put your social as 1-9
The website, my credit should be ok though. This weekend I was approved for 2 chase cards and an amex.
If your willing to take a HP I would just apply for the reg and go from there. If they decline then I would just keep the student version. It isn't a bad card to use.
Wouldn't it automatically decline though because technically the student is the same card?
With 15K / yr my estimate would be a starting limit of 500-1000$ from a conservative lender like Discover. How much did you get ?
edit: I got 2,5K with 790 Fico and 65K income 12/12 and it took 15 months to go from 2,5K to 5K and 3 more months to 7,5K (limit today)...patience was well worth for me!

I wouldn't but he is devoted to get the Reg version so it is what it is ... personally I would just keep the "student" version

I would definitely not re-apply because I think you got the limit based on your income and not for selecting student. Once your income will grow so will your CL with Discover ...just keep it! use it and every 3 months play with the luv botton.

isn't button for student card every 6 months? phone said 6 months </3
It used to be every 6 months but changed to every 3 months (at least for the regular cards). But chances of a CLI @ 3 months are very slim, @6 months a bit better and for many including me 12+ months to see a result for a CLI. Remember credit is a marathon and not a race...it takes time to grow so you will need a lot of patiece. My first limit on my BofA card was 1K and look at how it as grown but that was not overnight..it took years!

I had the Discover card for 14 months and no Auto CLI for me so it's all YMMV.
Discover only grew on me a bit ... Went from $750 ----> $1,000 -----> $1,500 and took HP's for both
