They Are if you got them in the mail ...
@CallaLilyLover wrote:Honestly not to discourage you but Discover seems to come up with personalized offers no matter what information is listed. I've put in my name with the wrong social numbers, Goofy Debarge, my exes info when I know he has horrendous credit, and someone else here put in Mickey Mouse. All came up with personalized offers. But if your FICO scores are around the same range as the FAKOS listed and you dont have any collections or late payment history then you probably have a decent shot. But I wouldnt depend on the offers they come up with. Good luck!
LMAO@Goofy DeBarge....I'm dead over here!
It's definitely a YMMV situation, depending on your personal baddies/AAoA/UTIL% situation.
That being said, I did just run it again over the weekend after having several of my accounts update/age. TU score jumped from about 640 to 680, and instead of the default 10.99-22.99 APR, it gave me a solid 12.99-15.99%.
While it may give results for random fictitious identities (Captain Mal Reynolds included), it definitely noticed a change in my credit and adjusted accordingly.
Now I have the issue of exercising self restraint. Been wanting to wait another 2 months to let some new accounts age and see if I could make it into the 700 club, but this has given me the app itch real bad
