Util is way too high. Stranger things have happened but for a better chance of approval and decent CL- drop your util under 20% at least.
Is it possible to get a CLI on your NFCU cc's?
Thats what i was thinking..need to get utlity down ..and i actually just did a CL increase w/ NFCU for my Cashrewards to 5K. my Go rewards the rep said was still too new(open in may 2013) read some disclaimer but accounts open less the 6mnths so opted to leave that one alone for now..
As far as paying intrest..yes i am ..its rare they all carry balances just havent buckled down yet and paid larger amounts ..60$ here 80$ there..ya know
In my humble opionion, between the balances you're carrying, the cards you have, and your wish to buy a home by the end of this year, I would advise AGAINST more credit cards. You want them, but is it something you can't do without?
Straight up...there is no way. I had Wal-Mart Credit Card as my first card and i had to apply twice in a 6 month period to get it. I've had it just under 3 years now and they've increased my line essentially once a year. my line started at 500 and is now at 2500, but in addition I work for them and they realized that and they upgraded me to wal-mart discover as a second account with no inquiry with a 1000 less than my store card. Just be careful though, 2 bounced payments or missed payments they immediately shut the line down (first hand experience from 2 bounced payments), and i had to fight with the customer service people to put my account in good standing again due to the misudnerstanding. I only have the cards for longevity and this point.
My advice to you is pay off your cards with highest interest and lowest balance first, consolidate the accounts, and then apply in 6 to 12 months. Otherwise you're wasting an inquiry for nothing.
