I got the offer too! Very tempting, which is why immediately ripped it up.
For a few reasons
I added a few cards this year so I'm trying to garden & be satisfied with what I have. One I'm not happy with myself for applying for one card I didn't "need" & no benefit.
The other I didn't need but it was offered by my bank I was hoping for a sizeable CL (wrong it's basically my lowest) but like the IT card the offer was great 0% interest 18 months then 8.99%. The rewards options are a variety but no cash back but pre paid visa/mc is just as good to me or various other gift cards. 1-1.25% every day purchases & through their online portal I think it's like 5.5-6.25%

The other reason I figure I can PC my More card to It anytime. Though I wouldn't get that great interest rate or 0% intro APR either. My More card is 17.99% maybe I will ask for decrease if I PC. I almost always PIF but sometimes 2-3 months.

They know how to reel use in with these offers. I hope to tamp down my desires like yourself! Just have to keep ignoring these offers.

I am still getting pre approval via snail mail an few times an week , even tho i just apped for discover it and am waiting for my card.
