Discover Internal BT

So I have a pretty large balance sitting in the "Cash Advance" bucket with my Discover Card at 23.99% - ouch - I know but now that i have awoken in my financial world.

My question is had anyone had any luck asking them to move the balance into the "purchase" category?  my purchase rate is at 12% so I would save a bunch on interest...

Anyone had any luck with this - do I call and imply that if they don't move it I will BT to another company?

Thoughts?

Thanks for the help

Re: Discover Internal BT

They won't move it so far as I know because there's a specific reason Cash advances have a higher APR.  Your best is to move it to another card or pay it off entirely.

Re: Discover Internal BT

I would be prepared to BT it.  They are not going to want to give up that interest, but i wish you luck in calling them.  Stranger things have happened though.
