Discover It Recon?

I'm relatively sure that if I applied for the Discover It that I would qualify. My bigger concern is what CL they would give me. Most of my cards currently hover around the $5K mark, so I would want at least that much from Discover. If I don't get the CL that I'm looking for, is it possible to call them immediately after and ask for a CLI?

Alternatively, is it possible to call Discover and speak with a live person and apply that way, so that I could explain all my concerns and maybe have greater control over the application process? Would that help?

Finally, anyone know what CR they pull?

Re: Discover It Recon?

A CSR wouldn't be able to help until they actually pull your credit. Discover mainly pulls EQ but can pull others

Re: Discover It Recon?

Discover's CL have been all over the mat so it's hard to say what you'll get if approved. Yes, you can call and apply but they will need to pull your cr like LS said first-

Do you want the card no matter the CL? If the answer is yes, then go for it.

Good luck.

Re: Discover It Recon?

They pulled EX for me last night.  I'm in NY, not sure if that matters...
