Re: Discover More Card Maximum Credit Limit?

Mine is at $13,300 with a 9 year history. I don't recall what my initial CL was and for several years I would get an auto CLI annually that averaged $1,000-$1,300 but I haven't had a CLI in over 3 years now.

Ever since 2008, I've stopped asking for the love.

It could always backfire. I used to be a lot bolder in pre-2008.

Re: Discover More Card Maximum Credit Limit?

My discover more is at $6500 and 7 months old. I have no intention of taking a HP for a CLI. Unless they give me auto CLI

Is Discover another lender that HP's for customer initiated CLI requests?

Re: Discover More Card Maximum Credit Limit?

Certain CLI's are hard pulls. I've read about numerous accounts where someone asked for say $2,000 and it was to be a HP, but they tried again for $1,200 and it was a soft. So, definitely YMMV.

I know someone with a $50,000 limit on their Discover More card. They've been with them for over 18 years and barely use it.

However, my starting limit is $1,000. Got approved today!

I've thought about it but it's my highest CL and I'm satisfied. The ironic part is I was getting those CLI's when I barely used the card. In 2010 I put right at $30,000 through Discover and last year it was about $38,000. But no CLI. Hard to figure.

This year will be much less usage for Discover though. I am using my BoA 1-2-3 card much more. Perhaps that will result in a CLI from Discover?  Smiley Tongue
