I have been rebuilding my credit over the past few years. Checked my fico last night and it was 701. So I decided to apply for the Chase Freedom and Discover More cards. Chase gave instant approval for 3k, which was exciting because my other cards have tiny limits. With Discover I got the "further processing required" message and waited until this morning to call backdoor #. Spoke with very nice rep who asked about my job, living situation, car loan, and identity info. He asked how much I needed, and I said about 3k. He put me on hold for a few min, then approved me for 4k! He asked if that was enough and I didn't want to blow it by getting greedy, so I said that's perfect. I am extremely happy now, both cards will help my DTI ratio. Thankful for this forum, and encourage others to use backdoor #s also!
