I was approved for Discover More about 4 months ago with starting CL of $4500. Have received $100 cashback after spending $1000 during the first 3 months.
I am thinking of PCing to IT and have a couple of questions.
1. I was thinking of asking for a SP CLI after 6 months, will PCing reset the clock and i have to wait 6 more months?
2. Will the credit history from the More card get carried over to the IT card
3. will everything else stay the same? Ex. statement cut date etc.
Thanks

1. No, it won't. I converted to IT right before my 6 months and it gave me the increase (auto-CLI)
2. Yes, it carries over. AFAIK from seeing my credit reports since then, there is no real change to the credit report. It still falls completely under Discover regardless.
3. Everything else with your account should stay the same, mine did. Call and find out for sure.
Thanks Jonbo!

+1. It's just the same number from the More card, moved to an IT card. Nothing else changes. You can, in fact technically use both cards until the expiration date, when only the IT card will be valid upon issuance of a new card. We did that with my More to IT cards, my kids continue to use their retro Sony Tape More cards.
I confirm what Jonbo said. PC from More to It is super easy and has no impact on account number, history, CLI schedule or anything else. You just get better benefits and a really cool looking card that comes in a really cool folder.
Thank you Gunner, Thom!
Don't worry, it's super easy with Discover! It's just considered changing the rewards program for your Discover account.

Thanks Kevin.
Just converted to IT over the chat. It was very straightforward as you all mentioned. Should be receiving the new card in 4 to 6 days.

Is there an inquiry to your credit report? If so, soft or hard?
I asked them if it will require an inquiry, and they said no.
