I'm excited! My credit portfolio is complete... Amex Rewards Gold-Charge; Amex Skymiles Gold; Amex Blue Cash; CiTi Forward & Plat Dividends/; Chase Marriott Signature Cap1 and Orchard secured = closing later the year!!!!( maybe) Only card I would cosider would be Chase Freedom...Maybe next year...

What were your scores? and which bureau did they pull?
Last month, I requested a "soft" CLI from Discover in preparation for a mortgage app (higher limit = lower utilization). They used a soft pull from TU. And they kept their word - it didn't show up as a hard inquiry.
I'm sure there are exceptions, but in my experience, Discover reps tend to be well-informed, polite, and just generally helpful.
