I just got a letter that says I am now a premium plus cardmember and entitled to an exclusive suite of VIP benefits, over and above the many free benefits everyone else gets. Basically airport lounge access, Concierge Plus which includes access to special events like VIP access and special experiences, enhancements to various standard benefits like Roadside Asst for $49.95 vs the standard rate $69.95, $250 per day in travel delay, auto is now $50k, etc. Nothing else changed but this is my second upgrade, last year I was given premier status.
Airport lounge is nice, they are mailing me a card to the lounge service.

Nice. Which card do you have and how long have you been a cardmember?

Got the card last year and Discover More. Now more than ever, I don't know if I should switch to It. I wonder if these benefits will migrate over.

Nothing on Discover.com about it but I did find an article with one mention...
So Discover decided to get in on the action. It's offering an invitation-only Discover Premium Plus card requiring more than $40,000 a year in annual spending.
Discover's Premium Plus card gives users access to 350 airline lounges and 24/7 live customer service with a specific team, no spending limit and access to VIP experiences, such as special seating at events like the Kentucky Derby, sailing events on Lake Michigan and "meet the chef" tours.
Discover, which has also repaid its bailout money, would say only that the Premium Plus card has "met expectations."
Also, to make Discover's Premium Plus card seem more exclusive, people must be invited to apply for it. American Express' Centurion card also is marketed by invitation only.

Dang thats awesome! I guess its to compete with other premium cards.
I'd just wish there was a card that offers free roadside (have an amex, but doesn't make up for annual fee.)

That's more than my annual spending on all cards combined! I use my Discover only for bonus categories which works out to $5-8K a year or so.
