Netflix is listed in movies, but does anyone currently use their DIscover to pay for Hulu, HBOnow, or other streaming services and does it categorize similar to Netflix so maybe it will be 5% also?
Hulu got the 5% last year. Don't know about anything else though.
You can buy Hulu gift subscriptions thorugh Hulu.com.

idk but 5% on $8 isn't much lol
Yes, but maybe he/she can prepay the service for the rest of the year. That'll make it more interesting.
Exactly, I have two small children so dinning and movies out are expensive (need to hire a sitter) so I am trying to think of ways to use my Discover Q2 to both show use, and get more out of the 5%.
Interesting question. Here is how my stuff posts to Discover:
Posts as Direct Markting- ALL Other:
Amazon video On demand
Netflix ( posts as murchandise for some reason)
Posts as Cable TV satelite and other TV Services:
Sling TV
Hulu
Comcast Cable ( this is actually internet for what it's worth)
Edited to say I actually pay 11.99 for my hulu because I hate comercials. I wouldn't mind keeping my 7 bucks for the year. That's dang near a month of netflix...or a beer.

Sort of off-topic, but wouldnt it be easier to apply for a Bank of America Better Balance Rewards, and use that solely for the inexpensive subscriptions? $25 every 3 months is pretty good in these circumstances.
