Re: Discover card approval

Congrats, you actually got a higher CL than I did.

Discover pulled EQ for me, and at the time I applied I had a 774 Fico, 1% util, 5 yrs AAoA, but the killer for me was the inq's, I had only 2 in the last year but 24 in the last two years.

12 inq's from 3/10 Car Loan, 10 inq's from 5/11 Car Loan, the 12 from 3/10 only counts as one and the 10 from 5/11 only counts as one (Rate shopping) but when I apped for the Discover More online (their system did not recognize that)  I was declined because of the inq's, I called the backdoor # immediately after the online decline and explained the inq's were "Rate Shopping" inq's for Auto Loans and was put on hold and the rep came back and said congrats I was able to get you approved 2000CL, I almost told her to cancel my app 2000CL really????

But I figured, I'd go ahead and take it, because I know this card will grow with me.

Congrats again, great initial CL, treat it well and it will grow nicely with you.
