My boss has been on this train of repairing his credit. He was recently approved for a discover but with a co applicant? I'm guessing this is a co signer type deal.
Can or will that change in time to his own card were he can remove the co applicant after a set amount of time?
I don't know if you can remove a co-applicant, but joint accounts in general can be a nuisance, and with Discover it's no exception.
Both applicants share one login ID and password, and getting a CLI requires both people to call in for a 15 minute ordeal...it's a SP CLI, but a headache.
Are you thinking of co-signing? Or just asking out of curiosity?

My boss wanted to know. I was kinda helping him along. We got midland to vacate his judgement by a PIF. They agreed of you believe that. So we got that removed. Now he just has a few lates. Got him an Amex, couple cap 1's, discover is giving the co applicant option but he's not sure if that's a route he wants to go.
I thought maybe it might be a in time we will give you your own card type thing. Told him I'd ask the gurus here. Lol
I suggest he accept the inquiry as a loss and wait until he can get a Discover on his own.
i agree, no co- signer. In time he will get his own. Thats what happened to me.
