So I played with the button and was approved for the $2,000 increase I requested. I was at $1,500. Either I am not reading this right, or this doesn't make sense. Here is the text copied directly from the approval message:
"Congratulations! You've been approved for a credit line increase of $2,000.
You requested a credit line increase of $2,000. Unfortunately, we were unable to approve the full amount. This increase of $2,000 brings your new available credit line $3,500, and your new cash line $1,900 .
You have the option to accept the $2,000 increase now, or request a higher amount. If you choose to request the higher amount, a credit bureau report will be requested and an inquiry will be placed into your bureau file, which could affect your credit score."

Accept it!
They're offering you a $2000 CLI with only a soft pull...
I feel like I read another thread earlier today where the user said that they countered his request with an offer that was equal to the request... Might just be funny phrasing based on a fill in the blank type of response lol
Congrats! (And thanks for including your original CL and the increase! I'm taking notes so I have a good guesstimate of what I should ask for when I hit the 6 month mark with my $1000 limit hehe)
I tried to decipher it for a minute, then accepted.

Did you accept your requested CLI of $2,000 or their counter offer CLI of $2,000?
How long have you had the card? I recently just got a Discover and I would love to get a CLI to bring my CL over $5000. What are your spending habbits with the card?
I am also eager to know how long you have had the card and your spending habits with it!
You must have requested $2000, and they countered with $1999.50. I think their system rounds to whole dollars. Congrats, Discover has always been generous with me. Here's to debunking the stigma that Discover is one of the stingiest lenders.
Would you guys mind telling me how long youve had the card & spending habbits, PIF Etc etc? im at $1000 and love to get a increase when my 6 months rolls round
