Did your 6th statement just hit? Mine hit a few weeks ago but my actual 6 month isn't till the 22nd (Account Open)
I'm also hoping to get mine increased. Just a student but with a 500CL my utilization can get hit hard with even somewhat simple purchases. I'd like to raise mine up to 1500. From my understanding Discover is Soft Pull online and on phone unless they deny the request. Then they will ask permission first before hard pull. I also hear they counter offer usually so your chances are probably quite good.
I'd pay down the utilization is my only recommendation.

when a persons overall uti
, or uti on that card is high it is not advised to ask for a cli.

you should get your utilization down before you call... they won't really be impressed with your high balance.
