Discover is Amazing

So I got my Discover IT 3 months ago with a $6500 initial CL, my highest initial limit ever. Got 3x$1000 SP CLI so far, pretty sweet.

Then came yesterday, I got a $5 Starbucks giftcard from them all I did was a couple of BT at card opening, about 70% CL and I pay about >2x minimum payment each month.

At this rate I am going to close my checking and saving with Chase, leaving the Freedom open because it's my second oldest trade line  (I already moved my direct deposit elsewhere).

That's wonderful! I also love Discover. IMO, they're the best CCC out there. When did you open the card? I've had mine since March 16 but so far haven't been able to join the Discover SP CLI bandwagon.

Vivacious, I had my Discover card for about 14 months prior to being able to get some luv via the luv button.

My experience is pretty similar. Got it about 8 months ago I believe. Recently did two CLI (late to the party) and also received that $5 Starbucks a couple months back. I don't know why, but that tiny gesture made me REALLY like discover. Also the customer service has been extremely nice to me as well. I'm still debating closing my freedom, but they are my oldest credit card account

I joined March 8th and likewise have not been able to get a luv button CLI, reason being 'insufficient experience with current credit limit'

Vulcan: no real reason. Every time I app I fix what's wrong and then they debt me for something else. Lol. Nowadays it's for INQs, but I've been approved by Chase, Citi and Amex with those INQs. They just hate me lol
