i just logged on into my discover profile and got this message "We are aware of a possible payment data breach at Home Depot. We will proactively inform you if we detect any unusual activity on your Discover card account, so there is no need to call us unless you notice suspicious activity. Remember, you're never responsible for unauthorized purchases on your Discover card."
For those who like customer service Discover goes beyond expectations!
anyone else got it ?

Lol, it is nice but I think mostly they don't want people jamming up their lines with wanting new cards and account numbers because they went to Home Depot a couple of months ago.

Right, and with the 0% liability (which isn't their policy, but required) of course they are looking for suspicious transactions, as they might end up having to pay for them. They are not doing this for your benefit.

Right, it's for their protection, not ours. Same as with all the security in stores checking ID uttering, "for your protection" rubbish. I couldn't care less about fraud, since I'm not responsible for any of it.
I don't care enough for their losses to be inconvenienced by these "fraud alerts" and "check ID" idiocy.
