Discover more approved finally!

Hi all,

After many, many, many years of bad credit, i finally made to to prime city with Discover! i got a $1,000 starting limit, that is good for me! i transfer about 700 dollars and i will get 15 months interest free! i'm so happy! thanks to myfico friends! One question, how often should i request or do they do auto credit limit increases? will this card grow on me?

they keep telling me no for the card. but my reports a little wrong so i am trying to get them fixed

keep your head up. i got denied back in august(7 months ago or so) i have CO(paid in full) a few lates and UTI AT 33%. Dont give up, trust me, if you see my report you will not beleived they approved me.

i think they said no because of to many apps. so i just need to wait and pay down UTL some and then ill see.

I'm trying to build my score up to apply for this card. If you don't mind me asking, what was your score when you applied?

I have a 668 FICO score with equifax. last baddie was a CO on January 2009, but paid in full and ever since that I've had a perfect payment history.

I just got approved for $1000 on Monday (found out my CL this morning after logging into my account).  I'm thinking about asking for a CLI for a BT if there's a deal on that when I get my paperwork and card to activate though... I'm quite happy with $1k starting though considering my past credit issues, I just like to push my luck sometimes lol

My credit profile is something like this:

3-4 CO/derog accounts set to fall off this year (so 6+ years old)

1 additional (paid) derog falling off in 2014

2 collections 5+ years old

AAoA of about 4 years

Several inq's spread across my reports from the past month 

5 positive tradelines (1 installment 7 yrs old and 4 revolving that are 4/4/2.5/0 yrs old all with CLs under $1000)

I also recently got an Amex Zync (NPSL), Southwest Chase ($3000), Cap1 ($500) in the past month - but those weren't reporting at the time of the approval for the Discover card (just the inquiries lol).
