Discover refer a friend

So my sister got a Discover IT Student card yesterday so proud. Ok aside from that i realized my refer a friend link wasnt clicked considering i helped her with the application. I SM Discover asking if we could still get the bonus and got a message saying "no"

So is there anything i can do? Should i do a corportate inquiry SM, or should i call when her card arrives?

You can try but they will probably say 'no'

Same thing happened to me. Just lost out as friend called and did not yes link   Too bad.

Not that it really matters, they tried to refuse to pay my referral bonus when I referred my partner a few months ago.  I stood over his shoulder while he applied, so I knew he clicked the link, and I knew he was approved for the offer.  Discover didn't pay, and when I inquired they said they couldn't tell me the reason I wasn't paid, only that I would only receive payment if the new customer clicked the referral link and was approved for the offer.  I pointed out that's quite the scam they've got going on, and I pushed back a little more, and they agreed to pay it.  I haven't seen it yet, but it's supposed to be on my next statement.

He also had to call in to get his sign-up bonus.

I expected better out of Discover, and I won't be referring anyone else.

I called discover about it, as I did the same thing. My friend sent me a link and I forgot to click it. They gave both of us the cash back after the next statement. Maybe I got lucky and spoke to the right representative, but they did it for us.
