As part of my rebuilding I had opened several new accounts and have left balances on some to take advantage of the 0% financing. Discover called the other day and said that their computer model had spit me out as a candidate for a credit line DECREASE ! Ugh..... I explained to the credit analyst that I was trying to build a strong payment history to purchase a home in 18-24 months. He left and came back several times and said that they would leave the CL at its present $3000 line due to the face that I have such a strong payment history with them (sometimes paying 3x month) and have 0 negatives on any of my current tradelines. I thought I would see this from Amex but not Discover ??

Thats unfortunate. I would have requested a supervisor.

IF they would have gone ahead with the CLD, believe me I would have requested a Supervisor, however the credit analyst was able to keep the tradeline intact @ $3,000

they tried doing the same thing to do about a month ago, I kept getting calls from a random number and i decided to pick up this time since they never left a message everytime and they said the computer flagged my account because I was carrying a large balance than usual on 1 of my other cards cuz I have a 0% offer on it and he said ok and left it alone

Thank you for warning us about this! You would never expect such from Discover but, nowadays, you never know with any lender what they're going to do.
I've STILL not received any notification of any rewards on my Discover account and there should be A LOT. I don't know what's up with that and they don't have any answer for me. Their customer service representatives are very nice -- no question about that -- but, its still frustrating not to get any answers!

they didnt even say anything to me about all my accounts opened the sole reason was because my usual overall credit card balances were usually $500 or less and now its at $1500 so it flagged. I think youll be ok, in the end

You never know with the CCC's lately. I have a small BT on my Discover ($600 bal, 0% until Feb), and they were calling me last month about why I was't using the card more. It was my b-day month, and they had the extra cash back b-day bonus, blah, blah, blah. I told them I may use it more for that month for the extra cash back, they asked if there was anything else they could help me with, and I asked for a CLI. They asked for a HP, and I declined.
