I was at Sams Club today and it asked me if I wanted cash back, is that like a cash advance?

This is probably a really dumb question, but if CB at the POS is a purchase, wouldn't getting a bunch of CB and depositing it back into your bank account (thus allowing you to do it again) allow one to artifically inflate their spend on a card for spend bonus hitting and such?

Re: Discover

Cashover at POS doesnt quite work that way.. No rewards and also does not count toward spend if i remember correctly....

Disco knows you got cashover and that part of the purchase = no rewards points..

Yeah, I wouldn't have assumed one could obtain rewards that way... I just thought if it was coding a request for CB at the POS as a purchase that it could possibly go toward your spend.  It makes sense that there'd be a way that it wouldn't, though.
