Re: Do CC Companies update Experian first - or are EQ & TU slow to update?

The Discover change from 9/27 that EX showed on 9/28 finally hit TU and EQ today. EQ showed a SW Alert. They also alerted the same day on another account that updated 9/24. This seems to mean they update in batches instead of just being X days slow. One took 5 days and the other took 8 days to update. This is pretty poor compared to EX, which is showing today, 10/2, my Honda Finance payment of 10/1.

Casinoannie97, I don't know which EX score you are comparing since they don't have a FICO you can get normally. My current EQ & TU FICO are 704 and my EX Scorepower from their site is 740. All of these are now showing almost exactly the same info. My recent BT charge is showing but the accounts paid by the charge are not showing paid down. This means my CC balance now shows $109K vs $91K. This dropped both FICO scores from 709 to 704. It dropped the EX Scorepower from 748 to 740. All reports are now almost identical except EX shows 2 more closed accounts and one more inquiry that have all fallen off TU and EQ.

EX is my go to agency when checking for updates.  I like the fact they do updates quickly.

I got a 9 pt increase on EX a couple of months ago.  They don't hold my BK against me as much.  EQ has stayed the same for over a year and is always the lowest score.  My BK falls off in Dec.

Annie if you can update your score after the BK falls off of Equifax it would be appreciated. Good luck.
