I know their rebuilder cards top on on limits. The question is if their cards for average credit have some kind of credit limits? Thoughts?
I have a Platinum Visa with No Hassle Rewards that currently has a $1,500 limit. It was my first-ever credit card and started with a $300 limit. Since the last increase, I haven't seen a CLI in two years. I spoke once with a Senior Account Specialist (backdoor number) that told me that my card did indeed have a $3,000 ceiling, but since then I have not been able to confirm this with any other CSR. It is possible that they are either trained not to provide this information or that many of them simply cannot see it.

This is more of a builder/rebuilder card.
I believe the average credit cards go up to 3,000, and the excellent cards go up to 10 or 15. I remember reading a thread here somewhere about it.
$3,000 is the ceiling for those, but I've read stories here about some being able to get it slightly higher through a CLI (like $3,500 or something like that)
Excellent Credit cards can go from $5,000 to $20,000 usually.

Friend is already at 3.5k and it is confirmed for average card. I know there is no limit on excellent cards and some have 30k or more
I have No Hassle Cash Back for average credit. It started out with $3000 and got $500 credit step increase at 6 months. It is exaclty 1 year old, but I don't know if it will go higher.

I think the initial CL ceiling might be 3k, but if you get a CLI it might go over that. Never heard of anyone getting over 3k with their initial CL.
Not so concerned with intial CL. More curious about what the ceiling for CLI for average credit cards if Cap One has such a CLI ceiling like they do with their builder/rebuilder cards. Friend already has 3.5k now and has offer to PC to Venture and curious if any reason outside of no AF and different rewards to change it as he now has excellent credit.

I have been told that the limit is $3,500 by a few CSR's. With the way it has been going with the card and CLIs I will reach that limit in 34.7 years. (I have perfect history with them and a higher score of 140 points from when I opened the card.)
