@EndlessRoad wrote:The big hurdle is that BK though, no matter how good I've been doing after BK Chase just simply wont have it, 5 recons proved that one to me.
That's exactly why I am not bothering with lenders like Chase and Discover until my 13 falls off in 22 months... thanks for reaffirming what I've heard many times already! LOL
What is your experian fico ? I would try and get north of 700 and if you don't have anything horribly bad on your credit reports you should be in good shape to app. I was one of the people who didn't have any CL above 5k , and I got approved for 9k. Not the most, but thats enough for me.

If not, you have a sho tbut if I were to bet on it I'd think you won't get it. So it comes down to how much you value the inquiry. I think most people overvalue them a little.
I love this site, thanks for all the replies.. and on that question.. I am not 100% sure ?? had a original providian account that was IIB before it was sold to WaMu ? so the answer would be yes ? since Chase bought WaMu out ? I think I am gonna go with Arrival + 1st since Barclays are sensitive to INQ .. I think I have 1 INQ on TU about 20 months ago .. so if I am gonna go with CSP it will be 2 INQ's total correct? 1 for applying online and another one thru one of agents in recon department, correct?

728 dated 5/6 on US Bank letter.
Did you have any Chase preapprovals on their site? Check and go from there...if you feel confident then just app.
@pip3man wrote:I do not agree with u on this cos all these talks about Chase wanting to see a $5k+ line before a CSP approval is mere myths and not proven since there are several members on here who never had a similar or high CL before getting approved for the CSP. Hell this other post I read yesterday where the OP had only $1500 or $3k thereabout before getting approved for the CSP! I personally think the OP here has a shot with at least the Barclay Arrival Plus and if anything the only issue I see him/her having is the BK currently reporting. In that case (now referring to the OP) the only way for u to know is apply and if denied recon with both creditors. Goodluck!
@I just got approved last week for a CSP @ $11.6k, and my highest limit was $2k. But, as another member pointed out, Chase "likes" to see card holders with a 5k limit, not "required" to. So, I guess I'm an exception, but it does happen. I wasn't PA'd for the CSP, but I was for the Freedom and Slate. I app'd and got the Freedom 30 minutes before I app'd and got the CSP. My AAoA is 6.75 years, my score when I apped was 713, my util was ~ 1%.
It's absolutely possible for you to get the CSP.
I was approved instantly with a $5,000 limit!!! first 5K card. My highest limit before was sitting at $2,000 CitiBank AAdvantage. My scores are not high currently at EX 648, EQ 647, and TU 637. (scores from myFICO) and utilization 60%. I also have one paid charge off and one paid collection 6 years old. What might have helped is my Slate card which I opened last month $1000 limit and Chase Total Checking with a $1,200 opening deposit.
Congrats!
Thanks!
