Do I now get kicked out of the garden and have to start over?

Added a DCU checking account to pay my CC monthly and to keep some money in the savings account, and they did a HARD INQUIRY!

Do I now go back to seedling?

According to some old garden threads, you don't Smiley Happy I got a hard pull for adding DCU checking as well, but as long as the hard pull does NOT result in a credit or loan product, you are good to go! keep your spade, i know i am Smiley Wink

Thanks! I forgot how "Hard Pull" crazy DCU was. I went to PIF My card yesterday and did it so I can leave a 1000 in the saving with them.

It's not just with DCU. Many credit unions pull before granting you membership to ensure you fit their customer profile. But it is common knowledge on these Boards that DCU will hard pull for membership and typically once again for any of their credit products.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

Well, I have to admit that they pulled it "twice" when I open the savings as well as the Platinum Visa. I just didnt want another inquiry for at least 6 months, oh well live and learn!

As keeper of the keys to the Garden Club clubhouse, I can affirm that this is correct. You weren't attempting to apply for a credit product, so the inq doesn't count against your GC recognition level. Enjoy your spades. Smiley Happy
