I can only answer for American Express. There was no pull for a CLI for my Blue. And there's no CL on a Plat, so I don't know how you'd ask for a CLI without a CL...

Well, I guess I can also answer for one Citi. When I had a Sears MC (Citi-backed), there was no hard pull. Of course, the CLI's were often for some wacko figure like $113.79. Smiley Tongue

American Express is always soft and you could only ask on your blue unless they have put a hard limit on your platinum and you want to try to get that raised.. but I would just wait the 6 months and see if they raise it themselves.

Chase is always a hard

Citi is a soft if it only asks for income online, if you get a form asking for bank information and social, etc. it's going to be a hard

Discover is soft if it's available to you, usually rep can tell you over phone or through automated system when you call.

Citi you can just do online if the button is there for you.

Chase you would want to call the backdoor number and do the request directly with an underwriter that can talk to you about your credit on the spot and make an instant decision.

Amex if you find your way through the links, you can do it online or over the phone just as easy, it pops back instantly if it's in the system to give it to you... you can ask for up to 3x your current CL.

Discover I believe has an option on the phone like #9 for CLI and if you ask for to much it transfers you to representative who can look in the system if anything is available without the credit pull. but they seem to be pretty frozen up these days.
