Usually not.    Are you asking for a secured increase, that is more deposit?  Which card.

I am asking about a secured increase. The wells Fargo secured account. I wanted to open the secured card with an initial limit of $6K. However I may use about $3k of this limit. And then would like to increase the limit to 10K.

I can not find anything in the WF terms and conditions that require a 0 balance to make additional deposit in the collateral account.    I have 3 other secured cards, and none of them have this restriction.
