Lately I have been so obsessed with maximizing my rewards, If someone gives me $3, and I want to spend it on something, I will stop by the bank and deposit that $3 into checking, then go buy it with my CC, and use online bill pay to pay the CC.
Also RE: DIY Car washes: I found one nearby that accepts CCs for no fee. Just swipe and the pressure nozzle starts up. Charges by the second and bills the final total to your CC. No more getting Discover Cashover before I wash my car!
Whoa that's a little obsessive! But aren't we all here? And billing by the second that's crazy talk!
Everything that I possibly can pay with credit cards, I pay with credit cards. I will never give up cashback willingly by opting to pay with another method of payment now that I know about the beauty of reward cards.
However, my landlord forbids me to pay rent with a credit card, so I use a check. And it pains me to do so....
Abosolutely. Positively. Everything.

Boy I miss the old days Lol
When you could float a balance a long long time .....Smh
I would clean up on rewards in this age and time
I can only dream of yester/year and what was once
Lol paying credit with credit... How classic
The good ole days for sure
Well there's always BT
Lol yep but just not the same
Use A to pay B
Next month use C to pay B
Hey (A) you're up next month your turn again
With no BT fees I might add
Sorry flashback
Oh god and with the amount of cards we have today we need the whole alphabet! DROOL
Although I'm thinking the lenders might go out of business rather quickly and then we'll be back to square one with cash only... OH GOD NO
Yep you got it
Awe the possibilites
I think you missed the part about them going out of business and credit ceasing to exist
That's why they don't do it anymore
The pain oh the pain it caused
Edit.................. it was years before they caught on too

lol its only about $0.03 per second, so an average length wash will be about the same to putting in $2 in quarters and getting a 3 minute timer.
Yup.. I use whatever card will net me the most points/miles/cashback for where I'm shopping.. and always PIF. Need to maximize the rewards for money I'm going to spend anyway.

I grok that!
Yup, everything. My parents don't get it. My friends don't get it. Besides the rewards, you also get certain protections and fringe benefits - such as chargeback rights, discounts, and access to certain events. I don't use all the benefits but I'm glad I have them. Besides, who wants to handle money that's been shoved in (mod cut)?
