Does Chase SW RR have to be linked to main cardholder's RR acct?

For example, if my wife was approved and adds me as an AU, but we usually book everything under my name and my existing RR account since I travel for work often... can we link the Chase account (that I would only be an AU on) to my rapid rewards acct?

Different people different RR accounts 

However points can be transferred to A or B

Yes there is a fee.  All airlines mileage programs charge a fee to transfer miles to another person.
