Anyone have experience with Chase granting a CLI without having to request it? Just curious, might save me an inquiry if I'm not in any hurry.
EDIT: What about APR reductions?

Seems rare
and APR, not a chance!
A few weeks ago I was told by a credit analyst that she only sees small automatic CLI. I plan on living within my current limit and not taking a HP.
I called Chase about APR reduction. They told me that at this time they are not doing ANY APR reductions except for the people who recieved AA under the new law. He said that I can try again in 6 months or so and they might have changed the policy back by then.
a few years ago when I had my first freedom card at $5000 limit they CLI auto to $6000 then to $8000. but things change.

This is very sad news for Chase, because I was going to use my Chase card for a couple of big purchases over the next year, and pay out over a few months... I can (barely) tolerate 13%, but not 23%
So looks like I will be needing a new card with a 0% intro rate after all. Hoping I didn't have to do that!
My DGF had her Freedom card auto-CLI from $5k to $12k between 2007 and now (not sure if it was all in one jump, probably not).
