So I reached the PRG $30K annual bonus level. This equates to an extra 15,000 MRs. The choice now is to cancel before annual fee is due or keep for benefit of:
1: NPSL
2: No balance reporting to CRs.
However I am concerned that keeping the PRG could impact spending limits on other Amex cards.
Any experience?
I don't think it will. Amex rep on the chat the other day was telling me that closing a charge card would not have any impact on future approvals for revolvers. In fact, my spending limit on the Gold Delta has actually increased since then. I tested it and I could technically charge over 6K on that card.

Your Gold Delter actually increased due to cancelling PRG or keeping PRG?

I didn't have the PRG but the Green card and I was talking about how much the spending ability button would let me charge on the Delta.
Limits on all future cards depend on Amex's Internal Risk Metric. Your history, spendings, salary, and credit profile will determine the terms you receive on any new Amex cards. PRG doesn't hurt you. I know Amex loves to see their members pay those hefty annual fees. So it may be frowned upon by Amex if you close the PRG but they'll get over it. Like big babies lol
