Ive been making significant gains in my EX score and occasionally I check AMEX pre-approval site to see if I qualify for any cards. Does this hurt my chances of getting an AMEX later? (I know it doesn't hurt CR).
Thanks,
Duncan

Nope, i use to check it once a day
and they still saw fit to give me a Zync, it just checks their records for offers that they have for you, nothing to do with your CR

I just signed up for the AMEX offers thing. I'm hoping that they will soft pull me and occasionally send me preapproval offers once I'm eligible. Am I expecting too much?

I don't think so. You've put yourself on their radar, so if your profile matches their criteria for a certain card, they should send you an offer. Good luck; I hope that one day you find an offer coming your way. ![]()

I check once a day just for the heck of it. I'm not applying until another year. Some days it'll have offers, others now. It's quite odd. And they haven't softed me for a month or two.
They also haven't sent mail offers to me since I got my Discover in April, but offers online still pop up sometimes.
