Can't speak to this specific creditor but most will happily CLD upon request so you could request a decrease to a round number after the CLI request.
That is true, CLD is a possibility. The only thing is that it looks bad for manual reviews. CA would guess my CL was reduced "for good reason." They are never going to guess my reason. And even if I tell them the real reason, I don't think that would help me with their review. They may have a special algorithm for people like me and I don't think that algorithm is one of the good ones.
