I've been periodically checking Chase's Pre-Qual for the APR they offer me on cards. I've recently picked up 4 new cards (including the Chase AARP card). When I put my info in a couple of weeks ago, Chase spit out the following:
CSP: 15.99%
Slate: 18.99%
Freedom: 19.99%
Just checked today (you know, to make sure they still like me) and I found a dramatic drop:
CSP: 15.99%
Slate: 12.99%
Freedom:13.99%
Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with this. I'm still not applying for the Freedom without the $200 signup bonus, but has anyone seen an APR swing this dramatic in such a short time? FWIW, my FICO score has dropped from all of my new accounts and my AARP has a 15.99% APR.
Hoping for that APR to drop to 12.99 by the time the $200 signup bonus rolls around
You are being offered the best APR the freedom has it goes from 13.99% to 22.99%.. Sure the 13.99 will still be there when the 200 bonus is back as long as nothing drastically changes in your credit.

@I noticed that today as well for me. What rate do you have on the AARP. That's a next target for me. I have a pre-selected snail mail offer now @ 16.24%. I may hold out.
Same here ... last November I was getting offered Freedom at 18.99 ... then nothing offered at all December and January, and last month Freedom came in at 13.99 and I grabbed it. I don't think my scores changes much, I'm guessing they have altered their tiers.
