@bichonmom,

 Thanks.  I have good willed all three (2 HSBC/Capital One and 1 Merrick Bank).  Forums say these are hard to crack and I can now attest to that firsthand.  They fall off December 2014.  They haven't affected me otherwise, so I'll just wait until then.

Well, at least you tried. You don't have much longer to go. Smiley Happy

Re: Duck card approval profiles

@12njoy: Very sorry for the denial. But you helped make my decision for me not to apply b/c my CR is very similar to yours right now-one  paid 1 CO but a few other paid public records as well-although your CC line-up is WAY BETTER than mine at the moment. However I belong to USAA (joined almost a month ago-full member) so I may try for a Mastercard with them instead. It seems they didn't have a problem with your CO so I might have a shot. Again sorry for the Duck denial, but thanks-your applying + looking at your siggy helped me a lot!

Re: Duck card approval profiles

@ credit hoarder,

Thanks. The trek usaa cards I have at $5000 are both secured cards I got in March 2012. All other is unsecured. I think usaa likes to see at least a 660 EQ Fico so you should be good as long as they're has been some time since your baddies with positive history. I see that a poster got the duck card with mid 600 score with public record. Got me thinking to try again but I don't want the inquiry.

Ravensfan,

You got me with an itchy finger now. Mine are all from 2008 and each 3 were $700
