I went there, (First National AMEX), poked around, and this is what they stated:

"We are currently not accepting applications at this time. Thank you for visiting our website."

Sorry -- forgot to mention in my earlier post that they are currently only accepting new card applicants now in certain states. Some forum posters have mentioned having success by apping under one of the accepted states and then listing their actual state in the app, but admittedly might not be worth apping for and having a HP on, if the request is declined. No biggie. I don't need more credit, Lord knows. For me, getting the Iberia Bank card was like getting a beautiful woman (or in my case, a handsome man) to go out on a date with you. She's not necessarily available, interested, or even "in your league", but if and when she says "yes", it's a bit of an ego boost, ya know??

I should have been better about maintaining the relationship..send her flowers for no special reason, that sort of thing.....sigh...
