Went to design a card and got this popup. Either EMV has already started rolling out, or it is in the immediate future.
Hmmm...that's encouraging. One of Cap One's big selling points is no FTF, so a chip would make it a good card to take with on trips.
I saw that as well; that will be a great added security when traveling abroad. I contacted them and they told me that Venture and Venture One cardholders will get new EMV cards when they expire or replaced. Then Quicksilver and Quicksilver One cardholders next year.

Imminent is hard since cap one announce d for us. In 2015. It's out overseas. But mostly 90 percent of all issuers are scheduled for mid to late 2015. So nothing imminent like next week. I'd venture to say. No Big Bang with this as I already got the cards with chip. No difference since stores still using magnetic strip.
I requested for a replacement card for my venture one, I hope I get the one with a chip. too bad it's chip & sig. not chip & pin. but whatever better than not having any emv chip.
But I'm kinda more excited about the fact that it's not tacky gold design anymore
It's already available on Venture and Venture One, it will be next year for the rest of the cards. @RedMiniStapler you're so right about the tacky yellow design lol Lord that was ugly!
