+1 Apple Financing. A lot of the approvals come on recon, so call them up after you apply if it's not an instant approval.
Don't be afraid to ask for a larger limit than anything you currently have. When I apped for mine I told the credit analyst I was planning to buy the latest top of the line Macbook Pro and asked for $5000. They gave me $2000, but considering my highest limit at the time was $500, I considered that a solid win.
So they're pretty generous with credit lines, even if you don't get exactly what you ask for.

I would say the apple visa but only because of popularity among posters. I don't really know about their criteria.

Honestly, I don't think Barclays underwirting varies wildly from product to product. I would just pick the one you want and go for it.
They seem to be pretty good about recons from what I've read around here as well

does she need the card now?
id wait until the repo falls off.
and try to pfd or gw those collections. they still hurt after 5+ years but affect it less then they would of if they were brand new.
edit: also does barclays have a preapproval site?
