East West Bank....security breach?

I received a letter via snail mail a few days ago that East West was sending out new cards to some people because they triggered the security breach signal or something like that. And then a few days later got the new card with same numbers, same everything except for expiration date. I only use this card to pay my cell and pay in full every month. Anyone else have this happen?

I had a savings account with them when I live in LA long time ago.  They don't issue their credit cards. I think it is issued by Elan Card Services.
