i just got a CLI from discover this week. i went from $1200 to $2k. i took the HP becasue they said i had lates on my file and knowing i had none i let them. they said it was from over 5 years or more ago and asked me a few questions and came back with$2k asked for $5k or something. but becasue of those lates and the paid CO i didnt get alot. but ill try again in 6  months.

Just talked to a CSR.  She said that they still can't process it on their end.  It's probably just me jumping the gun.  I'll try in the morning.  I don't need the increase immediately anyway.

I got my Discover More card with 2500 CL on February 2012 and no auto CLI for me. Every time when I wanna ask for CLI they want to do a HP. I just paid $500 on this card and actually I saw a SP on my TU report from Discover on 04/18. Smiley Frustrated

I would try 5K. They will counter if they can't approve but they also are very conservative and 2x CLI sounds like a good number.

I'm starting to feel like I'm getting the run around. Nobody knows why I'm not eligible at this point. They gave me every reason they had, but now nobody knows why it won't go through.

the common CSRs usually wouldn't know. Most of the CSRs at most banks are minimum wage or close to minimum wage employees and turnover rate is pretty high. 

 

You will probably need to speak to an underwriter or a credit analyst. They will be able to answer your questions regarding that.
