I got an email stating I'm preapproved from <offer@findmarketinfo.com>. This seems odd and might be an identity theft (phishing) thing. I did hit the "apply instantly" button and the site URL looks like it is going to discovercard.com. I wonder if others are seeing this offer.

I'd be very careful of such emails

STOP!!!! Scan your computer for keyloggers and other nasties!!
NEVER click on a link in an email you don't recognize! Seriously.
Keyloggers and other assorted malicious programs can be downloaded and activated simply by navigating to a site. You do not actually have to do anything but go to the site these days.
If you value your credit and ID, stop what you are doing and scan the piss out of your system. I have had numerous friends get hacked and trust me you do not want to have to deal with that.

Thanks for the concern. My system is well protected and scanned daily for malware. I posted the note because this sort of phishing (email pointing to a lookalike site) is also a concern.

Cool. What set off alarms for me was when you indicated you clicked on the link in the email. I was like "oh no!" My buddy got royally hacked when he did that and since he also used the same password for almost everything, the people just got into everything he had almost. Bank, cards, util, you name it. It took him a year plus to recover from it. I'd hate to see that happen to anyone else.
He never logged in, it was a keylogger that discovered his password.
