Emailing Capital One for CLI Often?

So since coming to the site and learning how to get a cli from CRAPONE on a 7 year old card!!!!  i have emailed the Capital One CEO only once and that was about 3 months again and that increased my limit 750 to 1750. Yea right? But now  i am wondering if i'm going to have to do this every time that i want a CLI? How many times have you email the CEO and at what time frame 6 or 12 months? How much growth did you get? I have SD the card but like to keep it for AAOA for atleast another 5 year.

Re: Emailing Capital One for CLI Often?

I have read on the boards that some had tried again on the sixth month after their first cli from the EO.

Keep in mind, in order for another increase, your credit picture must changed for the better meaning low utilization, better fico score, etc.

Re: Emailing Capital One for CLI Often?

I went from $1300 on my householdbank card to $2500. now, one month later, I have closed 2/3 of my tradelines (down to 9 from 27, two more to be closed next month). I have <5% util and I have heavily used the card with PIF.

Scores have also improved 30-60 points depending on the scoring model.

Think it's time to email for another CLI?

Re: Emailing Capital One for CLI Often?

I bothered them after 3 months of my first contact with them for an APR reduction.  They said no to that.  I found that a bit funny as I paid them $0.26 in interest since I have had the card which is almost three years old.  I then contacted them at 5.5 months for a second CLI.  They bumped me the first time from $500 to $2000 and the second time to $3500.  I am certain they saw that I had a few more accounts and that the limits were steadily going up.  In another six or so months I will hit them up for a CLI so that I can get closer to that limit needed for a Venture card!

Now if Barclays would start giving me more luvin I would be happy.  (Don't get me wrong, I still think Capone's policies are silly and wrong, we shouldn't we need to EO them to get what most banks do automatically.)

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.
