So since coming to the site and learning how to get a cli from CRAPONE on a 7 year old card!!!! i have emailed the Capital One CEO only once and that was about 3 months again and that increased my limit 750 to 1750. Yea right? But now i am wondering if i'm going to have to do this every time that i want a CLI? How many times have you email the CEO and at what time frame 6 or 12 months? How much growth did you get? I have SD the card but like to keep it for AAOA for atleast another 5 year.
I have read on the boards that some had tried again on the sixth month after their first cli from the EO.
Keep in mind, in order for another increase, your credit picture must changed for the better meaning low utilization, better fico score, etc.
I went from $1300 on my householdbank card to $2500. now, one month later, I have closed 2/3 of my tradelines (down to 9 from 27, two more to be closed next month). I have <5% util and I have heavily used the card with PIF.
Scores have also improved 30-60 points depending on the scoring model.
Think it's time to email for another CLI?
I emailed cap one CEO Jan 2013 I had 2 cards $750 and $500. January they bumped me to $1000 each (they asked how much I wanted and I said 1000) Well i am in the process of getting a home loan and decided to call to increase my limit to lower my util and they increased both cards to $1250.00. I called them last friday. SP only so no extra inq
Did you call regular customer service or your contact in the executive office?
I just emailed them, I lost my contacts number so I had to email them.
I was advised by one of the ladies in the EO to contact them whenever my CR improved considerable.
I asked for a timeframe of 4, 6 months, she said that did not matter.
I bothered them after 3 months of my first contact with them for an APR reduction. They said no to that. I found that a bit funny as I paid them $0.26 in interest since I have had the card which is almost three years old. I then contacted them at 5.5 months for a second CLI. They bumped me the first time from $500 to $2000 and the second time to $3500. I am certain they saw that I had a few more accounts and that the limits were steadily going up. In another six or so months I will hit them up for a CLI so that I can get closer to that limit needed for a Venture card!
Now if Barclays would start giving me more luvin I would be happy. (Don't get me wrong, I still think Capone's policies are silly and wrong, we shouldn't we need to EO them to get what most banks do automatically.)
