Experian Activity Detected.. Identity guard.. question.

So i just made a purchase with my AMEX credit card for an online purchase. Is this Amex doing a softpull on me to check up on how i am doing or is this a hard pull? Since identity guard is telling me it is "Detecting" im scared that this was a hard pull?? I did not apply for anything, all i did was make an apple iphone purchase for 7.99 lol.. Just got my card last month...

SP's shouldn't trigger that type of inq. You might want to pull your reports.

I agree...a Soft Pull doesn't trigger an alert. I would suggest you pull your reports. It may be the new account with Amex reporting since you've had it for a month.

Re: Experian Activity Detected.. Identity guard.. question.

It did show my current balance in the report from identity guard that Amex was reporting 385.00.. And my first payment did post like 3 or 4 days ago.. So mabey it is the new account just reporting to bureas? AHH my credit is going to dip!

if it is your new amex reporting, don't worry too much about the score drop...it'll pick up after it ages a bit :smileywink:
