I've had a card with FIA since 2004 that is collecting dust because of the crummy rewards. I called twice (frontline + the backdoor number) and asked if they could convert my VISA into a Fidelity rewards card so I could use it as a daily spender. They said no. I even told the backdoor "specialist" that I would most likely cancel the card, and it didn't phase him. Is this normal for a credit card company? I'm somewhat surprised they didn't want my business when they didn't have it before.
