FIRST OFFER FROM CHASE

Since they took over WAMU.  It's for rewards

Chase Freedom 5% back.

So that makes 4 pre approved for me:  BofA; Citi: HSBC Flex:

and Chase.

Are they asking for proof of income?

Re: FIRST OFFER FROM CHASE

I bank with Chase and never got a pre-approval or invite for anything..Smiley Sad

But no, they didn't ask my DH for proof of income when he opened his card. They also didn't ask him when they product changed him to a different card.

Re: FIRST OFFER FROM CHASE

BoA never asked me for proof of income. They asked me for my personal income on the app,  and there was a field for other income, HHI I think?

Re: FIRST OFFER FROM CHASE

Isn't that the same thing?

There was a section that asked for my personal source of income( that's all).

It's all electronic, they won't go into details asking for "proof".

Re: FIRST OFFER FROM CHASE

Nope, BofA & Citi never asked for personal information that requires deep information ( personal experience).

Often customers get Financial Reviewed by AMEX after a big purchases or having a high balance. AMEX don't necessary FR people upon appovals ( doesn't mean they won't), their application process is the same as BofA and Citi.

Only difference between the three is the random FR from AMEX( Mainly after something that will alert them). They're just making sure whether or not you're financially stable with those large purchases Smiley Tongue

Re: FIRST OFFER FROM CHASE

Merry X'mas everyone!

Well, every time I app or request CLI, they (NFCU, Addison Ave FCU, Chase, Citi, Discover, Amex) asked me my annual income ... just the number like 24k, 30k 36k, 50k, 75k, 100k (wish).   But they never asked me for any kind of proof of my income.  They just want basic information.

If you are going to app ... Good Luck!!    Smiley Wink
