Anyone heard of this Chase card.
Doesn't look too bad.
I might go for it in the fall
Seems geared towards higher spend, with the spend requirement for the bonus and the fact that you must spend $12k a year to get one free night (that's a big cost for one free night if you have other cards you want to spend on!)
I haven't heard much about it. Probably because it seems like for this card to make sense, you have to dedicate most of your spending to it (if not all).
Seems like only a so-so card to me, but YMMV...having to spend $12k for one free night is a bit crazy since many cards reward you with a free night each year just for paying your fee etc.

I was mainly looking at it for the 2 free nights after the minimum spend requirement.
I put most of my purchases on cards, but i would probably not hit the 12k either. my spend is spread out on too many others.
It does appear to be a nice hotel. Anyone ever check into one?
If anyone applies, be prepared to submit W2s, tax returns, bank staments, and blood samples.
I don't have this exact card but the gas card was a complete nighmare. A nighmare which was made completely useless by the superior Fort Knox card.

Are they that picky with the underwriting on this one? I figured it would be the normal Chase routine
Never heard of this card before. Rooms are probably $4-500 and up at most locations so it should be easy to get $1000 value out of the 2 free nights for sign-on. The terms do say that there are some blackouts and restrictions, but I think it's definitely possible to get $1500+ value if you plan ahead and stay at their pricier properties. The one free night comfortably offsets the $95 AF, and whether $12k annual spend is a lot really depends on the person. For people who spend $500+ on hotel rooms regularly, $12k annual spend might not seem like much.
To me, the biggest challenge is that their hotels look like they're mostly located in resort areas, so this card wouldn't be that great for business travelers unless they travel to areas that are also resort destinations. That Pittsburgh location on their list really looks out of place. If my company would allow me to expense $500+ for hotels regularly I'd definitely be interested.

What gas card are you talking about?

Dunno about this card in particular. But I have to laugh when you say "the normal Chase routine". I've nver been asked anything of Chase. Even if I was, it would be simple stuff.
But Penfed wants tax returns. They want bank statements. They want all kinds if suff. Penfed can kiss off!!
