Feels good!

Received my NFCU Flagshio Visa Sig card in the mail today with a starting limit of 12,500....so I called and cancelled my First Premier Bank credit card $300CL .

It feels good knowing a year ago, NO ONE would approve except FPB and they basically take advantage of you every step of the way. Now I can get a decent credit card. It felt good to cancel them before my next ridiculous AF had to be paid.

With this new card, and closing my FPB card, my AAoA will sure go down, but its worth it in the end. My util. wont be affected because the $300 wont be missed!

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE ADVICE ON THE BOARD. I LEARNED SO DANG MUCH ITS UNREAL!

Re: Feels good!

Although, Chase rewards programs really blow NFCU out of the water. Hope my new card will have leverage with Chase eventually

Re: Feels good!

FP did not offer anything. The lady just said even if I dont use the card, they still report to bureaus and will help my credit. I told her I understand that, but dont want to pay the ridiculous fees and she said nothing. I asked for the CR to say "account closed by consumer" and she said that's what it will report as so we'll see.
